“A Reading Neighborhood” is a program of the Hopkins County-Madisonville Public Library Bookmobile created to encourage families to read aloud consistently to their children and each other.

Becoming a member is easy!

1. Register and complete the short survey. You may download forms from our website to either print or email.
2. Decide on a time when your family can consistently gather to read aloud. We encourage our families to read no less than 3 times a week.
3. Choose your reading material. It can be any printed media format that you and your family will enjoy sharing. Books do not have to be from the bookmobile or public library.
4. Keep a reading time log to exchange for coupons. Refund time logs at any library in the Hopkins Co-Madisonville Public Library System.
5. Come join the fun at our quarterly meetings and community events. Attendance at the meetings and events is not required to participate in the program.
