How to bid on items at our Silent Auction Fundraiser
Register for a Bid Number
This year we have introduced digital bid sheets! If you see an item(s) you would like to bid on, you can do so in one of two ways: scan the unique QR code or bid online through our website! This also means once you have registered for a bid number you can bid from home!
Feel intimidated? Don’t worry! Our staff are available to walk you through the process!
Scanning a QR Code
Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code. Just open your camera and point at the QR code. You should see notification link appear. Using your finger, click on the link and it should open in your browser.
You do not need to take a picture.
Bidding Online
Find an item on the website you are interested in? Click on the BID NOW button.
Using the Spreadsheet
After you click “bid now” or if you scan a QR code in person, you will be redirected to the item’s spreadsheet.
Find your item and click the link.
Placing a bid using the digital bid sheet
Place your bid! You can bid any amount equal to or greater than the suggested bid amount.
Do not forget to add your bid number. You must register for your bid number before participating.
HCMPL has the right to deny bids if the final bid amount is significantly less than the item’s value.
